A utilities worker is recovering after being struck by a runaway trailer

From 8NEWS

A utilities worker is recovering after being struck by a runaway trailer. It happened Friday afternoon on Elmstead Road off Midlothian in Chesterfield.

A company spokesman tells 8News the trailer's load shifted, causing it to come unhitched and run off the road. The driver of the runaway trailer called his boss seconds after the accident.

Nusery vise president Mark Mcauliffe says, "I felt sick to my stomach, just, I could tell he was broken up. It was awful."

The injured man was flown to an area hospital. No word on his condition.

The driver of the trailer is facing charges.
