A Kingston man was killed Monday morning when a trailer struck his car on U.S. 377 about two miles south of Fittstown.

FITTSTOWN -- A Kingston man was killed Monday morning when a trailer struck his car on U.S. 377 about two miles south of Fittstown.

Boyd Shipley, 46, was pronounced dead at the accident scene, which occurred shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Shipley was driving north when a trailer came loose from a southbound tractor-trailer rig and struck his car, troopers said.

The truck driver, Mark Reimer, 39, of Prague, was not injured.
