It happend again another loose trailer

Accidents

Two people were injured in five recent traffic accidents in Wayne County.

*Damages were estimated at $5,000 in a two-vehicle crash Thursday on Royall Avenue near North Spence Avenue, Goldsboro police said. Heather Marie Drake, 18, of Hillcrest Drive, was charged with a safe-movement violation.

*A driver from Mount Olive was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. 117 and Old Mount Olive Road, the Highway Patrol said. Samantha Ann Lichthardt, 19, of West James Street was released after emergency-room treatment. Minh Siev Tran, 50, of Redfield Place, was charged with failure to reduce speed.

*A sport utility vehicle was destroyed after it struck a house at 10:43 p.m. Tuesday on South Beston Road, the Highway Patrol said. John Cooper Underwood, 34, of Comet Drive, was charged with exceeding a safe speed. The SUV was valued at $8,000. Damage was set at $10,000 to the home at 632 S. Beston Road.

*A trailer came loose from a sport utility vehicle and struck an oncoming car at 12:50 p.m. Monday on N.C. 581 near Rosewood Road, the Highway Patrol said. The driver of the SUV, Kendreth Corbitt, 57, of Nahunta Road, Pikeville, was charged with failure to secure a towed trailer. Damage was put at $7,000 to the car, driven by Patsy S. Winders, of N.C. 581 North, Pikeville.
