WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD - Maryland State Police are asking for public's help in identifying a driver involved in a serious accident on I-70 Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators are hoping someone can identify the owner of the Utility Trailer that detached along I-70 near route 632 around 5 p.m.
Authorities say the driver did not stop after the trailer detached from the vehicle.

The Trailer then traveled across the median and hit a car going
west bound on I-70.

The Utility Trailer hit the Vehicle Head-on.

The driver was listed in stable condition at Washington County Hospital on Wednesday night.

Anyone with information on the driver or vehicle carrying the utility trailer is asked to contact Maryland State Police.
