Grand Junction man killed in wreck near Silt
Crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. Monday near milepost 95 between Silt and Rifle

SILT, Colorado — A two-vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 70 near Silt has left a 32-year-old Grand Junction man dead.
According to a news release from the Colorado State Patrol, Ryan G. Legg was pronounced dead by Dr. Kimberly Levin at Grand River Medical Center.
The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Monday near milepost 95 between Silt and Rifle.
According to the news release, a 1998 Jeep Cherokee pulling a U-Haul trailer was traveling westbound in the right lane of the interstate. A 2001 Toyota Tacoma was traveling westbound in the left lane of traffic when the Jeep swerved into the left lane and collided with the Toyota as it was passing the Jeep. The Toyota traveled off the left side of the road and began to rotate clockwise as re-entered the roadway. The Toyota then began to rotate counter-clockwise as it traveled off the right side of the road. The Toyota traveled down a slight embankment in the grass as it continued to rotate counter-clockwise and then rolled 2 1/2 times before coming to rest on its top facing south. The driver of the Toyota was ejected from the vehicle.
The CSP reported that Legg was not wearing a seat belt.
After impact with the Toyota, the Jeep spun then rolled 1 1/4 times before coming to rest on its driver side facing east.
The driver of the Jeep was 38-year-old Wayne J. Good of Centennial, Colo. Good sustained serious injuries. Other occupants of the Jeep, including 37-year-old Wendy Good, Zach Good, 10, and Kari Good, 8. CSP reported that they sustained moderate to minors injuries in the crash. All the occupants of the Jeep were transported to Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs.
All the occupants in the Jeep were wearing seat belts.
Alcohol, drugs and speed are not considered factors in this crash.
Wayne Good has been charged with careless driving causing death, and careless driving causing bodily injury.
